Population Change - Cause, Impacts & Management (DVD)

The UK is experiencing a period of rapid migration. This DVD explores the push and pull factors for migrants, the impacts that population movements have on both the source regions and receiving countries and how these flows can be managed.

It uses a range of case studies, including:

• economic migrants from Poland and Latvia
• Kurdish asylum seekers
• an illegal immigrant from Africa.

All encourage students to think about migrants' differing countries of origin, motivations, intended durations of stay, and socio-economic situations both in the UK and their country of origin.
