Primary Geography CPD Pack 8: Progression in geographical literacy (eBook - pdf download)

The Geographical Association’s CPD packs are designed for teachers to use in school with their colleagues. Each pack contains a range of practical activities that are flexible to suit your context, the amount of time that you have available and your school’s needs.

This Progression in geographical literacy CPD pack will help you discuss and clarify how important it is for pupils to be able to describe the world around them with suitable accuracy. This also reinforces the need to consider when pupils will learn geographical terms and how their geographical vocabulary will build up as they move through key stages 1 and 2.

This pack contains an overview document, with guidance on activities for 15 minutes, one hour or half a day, and resources comprising:
