It opens with footage of Cyclone Aila hitting the coast of Bangladesh. It then explores the social, economic and environmental impacts through first hand accounts of those affected. It re-visits the same area a year on and provides examples of how NGO’s and government agencies are working together to reduce both the short and long term impact of cyclones through better monitoring, predictions, preparation, disaster relief and poverty alleviation strategies. The resource also provides clear explanations and graphics of the physical cyclones.
