Three days of geography, learning and networking

Day one begins at 12.00 on Tuesday 6 April with a choice of field visits, followed by our Awards Ceremony, Public Lecture and Conference Dinner. There will also be special opportunities to meet the GA team, find out more about what we do and discover how you can get involved.

Days two and three will feature a diverse programme of lectures, workshops, Teacher-to-Teacher sessions and research papers, covering a wide range of geographical topics and classroom practice. Join us for all three days or choose the days that work best for you, with dedicated pathways for Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and primary colleagues.

There are plenty of opportunities to make the most of your time in Sheffield. Meet fellow geography educators at our networking events, connect with our Special Interest Groups and perhaps even share your own ideas and experiences by taking part in the Conference TeachMeet.

Explore the exhibition

Our exhibition brings together organisations from across the geographical community. Meet representatives from exam boards, sustainable travel companies, field studies centres, publishers, charities and more, discover new resources and services, and find out how they can support your geography teaching.

Ticket options

Tickets are available on a per-day basis, with 6 April priced at just £15, or free when you book the full Conference package. With three ticket releases throughout the year, booking early is the best way to secure the lowest price and start planning your Conference timetable.

• Your ticket price is based on your GA membership level. Check your membership level before booking and log in to receive the price available to you.
• Early Career Teacher members are eligible for a discounted ticket based on their membership status.
• Group discounts are available for groups of more than three attendees. Contact us for a bespoke price.
• Member and non-member ticket prices include lunch and refreshments, as well as access to your choice of sessions on your selected days. Conference Dinner tickets are available separately for £30.
